In september plaatste een vriend foto’s online van Burning Man 2009 in Nevada en toen raakte ik gefascineerd door deze beelden. Burning Man is blijkbaar een ‘hippie’-achtig festival in het midden van de Black Rock woestijn in Nevada. Duizenden mensen creëren er een week lang hun eigen Mad Max-achtige wereld met enorme kunstobjecten, muziek, naakte mensen en ruilhandel. Na afloop wordt de tijdelijke stad weer afgebroken onder het motto ‘leave no trace behind’. Op Youtube vond ik deze prachtige montage …

Ik schrik er zelf van dat het al van mei geleden is dat ik hier een blogpost schreef over mijn nieuwe appartement. Ondertussen zijn de werken wel gevorderd, maar het had toch wel wat sneller mogen gaan. De muren zijn al sinds juni geplakt en de chappe ligt er ook al een tijdje, maar daarna is het een beetje stilgevallen. Deze week is de vloerder eindelijk begonnen met de tegels te plaatsen, na maar liefst 6 weken vertraging.
